Mailbox Mavens: Floral Dress
Remember JoAnn from Sidewalk Chalk? She styled my denim vest for Mailbox Mavens. When she posted the dress below I had to give it a go, the colors are just so amazing and the shape is fun and flirty.
For some reason I fear the “fun and flirty” and seem to hide from patterns. I love all these things but I shy away, making this dress the perfect challenge!
I got super brave. I am usually afraid of color in anything more than a bright accessory, but I kept it going with a bright belt and wedges. Though I did end up covering up quite a bit of the dress I also felt braving mixing textures and pattern AND adding little socks. I am also afraid of over accessorizing FYI.
This look also helped solve the issue of this lace dress being so short Harper knows where she came from.

I know, the sad thing is, when I started this blog, a lot of the reason was to have a diary of my life after her, where I was still rather young. Turns out she’s just going to think I am a nut job!
